Being a father of four and also someone who is into being active, which comes with the territory being a Personal Trainer its kind of part of the lifestyle. But when you also have kids to get out of the house so they don't smash the place up or each other out of pure boredom you get good at finding things to do to get them out of the house to burn some excess energy as well as getting some exercise in yourself around the kids.
So i decided to put together a list of some of the family days out we do. We live in Chalfont St Peter and thats also where my PT studio is based. That means that most our family days out are in or near South bucks.
Rush trampoline Park (high Wycombe)
Only being about 15-20 mins up the m40 from Chalfont st Peter this is a pretty good place to take the kids to burn off some steam while also working up a sweat yourself. My apple watch often tells me I do about 10k steps in the hour I am bouncing away with the kids in here. As you can guess by the name rush is a massive trampoline park in a huge industrial unit, with a soft play for the little ones, you can also play dodgeball and it has a fun ninja warrior style assault course as well as a cafe. My kids love it here and it defo does the trick of knackering them out.

Go ape Black Park (slough)
Go ape is great for all the family from toddlers to kids and mum and dad. Its a great way of getting out the house and getting active with the kids as well as challenging some fears with the height in some tree tops
here are some of the things they have on offer there
Treetop Adventure is perfect for younger adventurers over 1m tall
Treetop Adventure Plus is a step up of Treetop Adventure aimed at children over 1.2m tall
Black Park's Treetop Challenge course is 90 minutes of high ropes fun for anyone over 1.4m tall.
Or why not try something completely different? Bounce 30ft atop the forest canopy on our Nets Adventure. It's brilliant fun for kids and parents alike.Â
If you'd rather keep your feet nearer the ground, take to two wheels and head out on a Forest Segway experience.Â
id highly recommend giving this. a try my kids love it for more info on prices and bookings head to their website here Go Ape Black Park .
Clip and climb Chiltern lifestyle centre (Amersham)
This is great fun my oldest two kids have both been to several parties here, the clip and climb walls are made to look way more fun for kids rather then just looking like a typical climbing wall. There is also a soft play right next to it, so the younger kids who are too small for the climbing can be doing this while the bigger ones climb. There is also a traditional climbing wall at the centre with a bouldering section too.

Ninja warrior (Watford)
If you want to test your acrobatic side and get a taste of what the contestants had to do on the ITV show then Ninja warrior is a great challenge, under 5's unfortunately cant go so for us one of us has to stay at home with the little one. However this is a great place for you to get some exercise in and the kids to run off some steam. so if you want to be humbled by just how hard it is to hang with your own bodyweight and your kids to show you how easy it is then this is a great afternoon out.
